ChadIn May 2015, WFP Chad in collaboration with the University of Ndjamena started phone-based data collection and food security monitoring in the refugee camps of Belom and Goz Amir using the mobile Vulnerability Analysis and Mapping (mVAM) approach. Since then, the scope of activities has grown, as WFP Chad now monitors the local populationís food security situation and follows commodity prices across the country. Live calls are placed to households and traders, and survey respondents are asked questions on household food consumption, negative coping strategies, and commodity prices.
