SOUTH SUDAN
In February 2016, WFP South Sudan started remote phone-based data collection in the country using the mobile Vulnerability Analysis and Mapping (mVAM) approach. Survey respondents are contacted through WFP’s in-house call center and asked to respond to a short series of questions on food consumption, availability, and negative coping strategies. Respondents are also given the opportunity to report on the food security situation in their communities.
