In June 2016, WFP started remote phone-based data collection in Mozambique through mVAM. Market data is collected from traders via live calls placed by in-house operators. Survey traders are asked a short series of questions on prices of basic food commodities, food availability, and their perception on the food security situation in their community. Data is captured using Open Data Kit (ODK).
