Mobile Vulnerability Analysis and Mapping (mVAM): Delivering real-time food security data through mobile technology

WFPs mobile Vulnerability Analysis and Mapping (mVAM) project was launched in 2013, beginning in DRC and Somalia. mVAM uses mobile technology to track food security trends in real-time, providing high-frequency data that supports humanitarian decision-making. Data collection methods are tailored to the needs of each country that mVAM operates in.
